Uche Hails Villarreal Fans After Copa del Rey Loss To Barca

Villarreal forward Ike Uche has showered plaudits on the club’s fans despite their 3-1 home defeat against Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday.

Neymar put Barcelona ahead as early as the 3rd minutes, but Giovanni dos Santos levelled for Villarreal in the 39th minute.

Suarez struck in the 73rd minute before Neymar sealed the win for Barcelona on 88 minutes.

Uche, who started the game before he was withdrawn for Giovanni dos Santos, hailed the Villarreal fans for their unending support in the course of the game.

“Thank you fans for supporting us all game long! We felt your energy from the pitch! #EndavantVillarreal,” Uche wrote on his twitter page.

Barcelona will now take on Athletico Bilbao who saw off Espanyol in the other semi-final.
